CityReach 2007 Update

CityReach 07 is History, but it will not be forgotten. God saved fifty-one people (to our knowledge) and six people announced their call to full time ministry! Let's give God the glory!

Pastor Chad Graves did an outstanding job! His messages were right on target. And, what can I say about Pastor John Sanders? He did an excellent job! Thanks, Bro. John!

It's Not Far Now

CityReach is approaching! Before too long, hundreds of students will be flocking to Loveland, Colorado for a week of ministry. There will be Car Washes, Sports Camps, Vacation Bible School, Door to Door, and lots of other GOOD TIMES!!!

Please be in prayer for John Sanders, pastor of Loveland Baptist Church. Also, pray for Chad Graves, CityReach Evangelist!

Back From Colorado

I spent last week in Loveland, Colorado attending the CityReach Board of Directors meeting. We spent our time reviewing CR06 and planning CR07 which will take place in Loveland CO. CityReach is basically a ministry camp experience designed for high school and college students, allowing them to participate in elective ministry tracts during the week that benefits a local church plant. We voted last week to officially go to Loveland next summer to help church planter John Sanders and Loveland Baptist Church.

There are some awesome things on the docket for CR07 including...staying at Colorado State University, a trip to Rocky Mountain National Park (snow in June), a Saturday block party at the church, Sports Camp, free car washes, Christian Opinion Polls, Pit Crew (construction), VBS, music by Two Copper Coins, and a speaker to be named later.

After pushing our pencils most of the afternoon, we arrived at a registration fee of $356, an increase of only $6 over last year, even though our costs at the university are up significantly from last year. I can't wait to head to Loveland next June, and I'm looking forward to taking several StoneBridgers with me.

Special thanks to all who attended the Conference Call this morning. I think we accomplished a lot for the short amount of time that we were on the phone.

I know God truly has blessed our Board with a group of men who are all about the Kingdom. I am thankful that we are about seeing lives changed, new churches encouraged and people discipled. It is a great time to be a part of CityReach. Thanks for making it fun.

CityReach this year was incredible! God never ceases to amaze me in what He can do. Knowing that over 100 people prefessed Christ in Morgantown is awesome! Everyday was great. And the worship at night was a time for our spirits to be lifted into God's holy presence.

So far we have had 3 outstanding years of CityReach. And it just gets better with time. I can't wait to see what God has in store for 2007!

Yesterday, Russell and I were able to follow up on several people who made public professions of faith during the week of CityReach. We had some good visits, with many people assuring us that they would be attending StoneBridge Baptist Church. God is good!!!

We thank God for all of the churches who attended CityReach. We praise God for the 105 professions of faith, and the one who surrendered to ministry.

Another exciting thing has taken place since CityReach. I have heard of two more young men who have surrendered their lives to full time ministry. One young man is 16 years old and feels led by the Lord to be a Missionary. The other young man was attending the University of Maryland, but now feels led to attend Washington Bible College.

The young man who surrendered to the ministry during the week of CityReach attends StoneBridge Baptist Church, Morgantown, WV. We are very excited about Manny's desire to be a future church planter or in whatever ministry God wants to use him. These are wonderful times!!! I am looking forward to when we can all minister together again.

Everyday this week, Mon-Fri, I will be doing a "live" interview about our Sports Camp with WVAQ. We will have ten radio spots on this radio station this week. Five live interviews, and five recorded commercials. We are hoping for a good response from the listeners.

CityReach is upon us!!! In less than three weeks, over 130 people will converge on the city of Morgantown. I am excited to see how God is going use our churches to impact the lives of people.

The CityReach Board has been busy for the past year, planning, praying and promoting this great event to equip students, encourage a local church and transform the lives of people in our great city.Several tracks will be available during the week of CityReach. Students will participate in a Sports Camp, Absolutely "Free" Car Wash, Christian Opinion Polls and Construction Ministry. This is a great opportunity for StoneBridge to impact our community with Acts of Kindness. Man, am I ever excited. This will be our third year hosting CityReach in Morgantown. I believe that many of our people will take an active part in this week of Ministry. For the first time in three years, our church is finally uniting together for the common goal of "Sharing God's Love with the people of Morgantown and the world."

I am looking forward to hearing from God through our evangelist, Pastor David Vance. David is from Bowie, Maryland. He is on staff at Grace Baptist Church. Grace is the largest church in our Association. So, with that being said, I am looking forward to the messages.Not only am I looking forward to hearing from David, but am looking forward to worshiping the Lord as Arin Jenkins and Two Copper Coins will be leading our worship each night. I don't know if I have ever experienced God (in singing) like I have at CityReach. There is always a great sense of freedom.Let us think BIG. Let us set goals. Let us win the lost. Let us make more and better disciples. Peace.
